Established in September 2023, BECP brings together organizations, experts, and partners working to improve the lives of young children from conception to age eight.
Our platform works hand in hand with the Government of Burundi, development partners, and communities to strengthen early learning, child health, parenting support, and social protection — building a solid foundation for the country’s future generations.
By working closely with the Government of Burundi and other stakeholders, BECP influences the development and implementation of child-centered laws, policies, and programs. Our advocacy efforts aim to create an enabling environment where every child’s well-being is protected and promoted.
BECP advocates for strong social protection systems that safeguard children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We work with families, communities, and government agencies to promote social inclusion and ensure that vulnerable children receive the care and protection they need.
Through collaboration with schools, educators, and policymakers, BECP supports initiatives that enhance early childhood education (ECE) quality and accessibility. We promote innovative, play-based learning approaches that stimulate children’s curiosity, creativity, and cognitive development.
